MTN Ghana introduces new frequency
MTN recently started to use new frequencies (channel 1700, 20 MHz) in Sunyani, in addition to its existing frequencies.
The following new carrier aggregation combinations are being used:
- CA_3A-7A (up to 400 Mbps or 800 Mbps)
- CA_3A-7A-20A (up to 550 Mbps or 950 Mbps)
- CA_3A-7C (up to 600 Mbps or 1200 Mbps)
- CA_3A-20A (up to 350 Mbps or 550 Mbps)
Much of the 'new' frequencies were previously used by Glo/Globacom to provide 2G DCS1800 services.
